                                     Mesa Verde National Park...
                                              ..."Green Table"

Home to over 4,000 known archaeological sites, including 600 cliff dwellings, Mesa Verde offers a rare glimpse into ancient history.  Here, visitors are privileged to look back into the lives, civilization, farming skills, craftsmanship, artistry and technology of Ancestral Puebloans who made their home on this mesa for 700 years -- from 600 to 1300 A.D.    They constructed structures to withstand time and elements!

I have only had the privilege of visiting Mesa Verde  National Park once and am looking forward the next opportunity to immerse myself  in the sense of history and wonder so palpable at Mesa Verde.
