                                     Glacier National Park...
...a Park bridging two nations -- Waterton/Glacier International Peace Park

Within the boundary of the Waterton/Glacier International Peace Park, an alpine wonderland of glaciers, glacial carved mountains, glacial lakes, glacial streams, and alpine meadows blanketed with wildflowers and prairie grasses is displayed in all its glory.  Landforms unique to landscapes shaped by glaciers include arêtes, cirques, hanging valleys, horns and moraines.  Glacier National Park is a hiker's paradise.  Inhabiting this incredible landscape are grizzly bears, American black bears, mountain goats, Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, moose, elk,  mountain lions, badgers, river otters, foxes, pikas, beavers,  northern flying squirrels, and wolverines, just to name a few.   Birds abound as well -- osprey, ptarmigan, golden eagle, bald eagle, Clark's nutcracker and harlequin duck are just some of the many birds that can be observed in Glacier National Park.

I hope you enjoy this peak at the scenic splendor and wildlife of Glacier National Park.
